ABOUT
My name is Katherine Ehninger Burnor,
I'm an interior & architectural designer in Canton, MI.
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved back to Illinois after graduating college. My husband, Eric, & I moved to Michigan in 2021 to be closer to family.
I attended Central Michigan University & was part of the Honors Program. I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in interior design and art history. Since graduation I have focused on commercial design; completing projects within the corporate, hospitality, manufacturing, & healthcare markets.
I've honed my Revit skills across the years, focusing on coordination in full permit & construction drawing sets. Other proficient softwares include AutoCAD, Enscape/Envision,
Adobe Photoshop & InDesign, Procore, & Microsoft Suite.
I'm also adept at scanning spaces & modeling existing conditions from point clouds. I've utilized both FARO and Matterport LiDAR scanners throughout my career, and use ReCap to prepare the raw data and point clouds for modeling in Revit.
My designs focus on accessibility & functionality for the
end-user. Great design should be available to everyone &
must provide a positive & lasting impact on quality of life.
I love to travel and explore new places & cultures, and bring those experiences into my designs. I studied abroad twice while at CMU, a month-long trip to Italy & a 2-week trip to Ireland. Those experiences brought new insight & design into my work, and kicked off my love of international travel.
I plan to take WELL AP exam in the future & continue my professional development.
