Lead Interior Designer

A start-up advertising firm was moving into their first office and wanted to create a “no address” space for their creative employees. The challenge was to create a modern and clean design that would seamlessly integrate into the building’s existing exposed brick, ductwork, and steel beams, along with the client’s tight timeline. This Fulton Market space was transformed into an open office with numerous outlets for employees to escape for a phone call or meeting, and the freedom to work from a desk, sofa, or stadium seating.

 

With sweeping views of the West Loop & Fulton Market, unobstructed views and natural light from the front windows throughout the space were crucial. Personal touches were added through an employee-painted mural and lush plants, creating a cozy yet modern feel.

The overall design focused on a simple, warm, neutral base to emphasize the building's history and spotlight existing elements. Pops of various blue shades were integrated throughout as branding elements. Quick-ship furniture and finishes were selected to stay on-schedule throughout construction and installation.​
